Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, gives a flash interview to a Portuguese TV as he exits the the airport VIP area in Lisbon, Portugal on Wednesday, Sep. 12, 2007. The Dalai Lama, is in Portugal for a five day visit where he will attend several meetings, three day Buddhism teachings and a public conference on the theme "The power of the good heart", although, the Portuguse President and the Prime Minister will not officially receive the Nobel Prize winer - Dalai Lama, invoking agenda unavailability and "known reasons" as stated by the Portuguese Foreign Affairs Minister - Luis Amado. Also, according to statement made by the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman, Jiang Yu, on a routine press conference, "The Dalai Lama activities aren't only religious but politic which focus on the independence of Tibet and the desegregation of the Chinese native land", this way trying to make some kind of pressure over the Portuguese government that is in a economic negotiation process with the Chinese.
